Stine Aas is a furniture designer based in Bergen. She holds a MA from Bergen Academy of Art and Design and started her own studio after graduating in 2015. Her work ranges from furniture, lighting, home accessories and textile design for Norwegian and international brands such as Edits (CA), Bebo (SE), Heymat (NO) and Northern (NO).

A solid stackable chair in tinted oak, Cleo has been designed to be both simple and affordable to produce. Born from my exploration of the archetypal elements of a chair, and inspired by geometric patterns, the chair comprises a firm body with a softer, laminated shell on top. The backrest is shaped in a perfect semicircle, so that when several chairs are placed in a row, they form a pattern reminiscent of the archways and decorative motifs of classical architecture.
